Temporary Data Entry Clerk

Temporary Data Entry Clerk for Low Income Heating Assistance Program openings in Breckinridge, Hardin, Marion and Nelson Counties up to 20 hours.

 

1.  Carries out the objectives of the LIHEAP/Community Services Programs.  Processes computerized applications from clients, completes and signs vouchers or daily fax transmittals, and keeps client files in order. Assures that applicants meet the program guidelines before assistance is given.  Reports any complaints from clients or vendors to supervisor.  Calls supervisor with any questions.

2.  Assists in maintaining necessary service assessments on clients.

3.  Provides information to clients and makes referrals for clients to appropriate agencies.

4.  Keeps appropriate client files, and completes the required reports as assigned.

5.  Assists in receptionist duties, including telephone, and client assistance activities.

6.  Performs daily light housekeeping tasks for the office – sweeps, dusts, takes out garbage.

7.  Other duties as assigned.

 

High school or equivalent preferred.  Good basic knowledge of grammar.  Ability to use, or learn to use office equipment, computer experience required.  Ability to understand written and/or oral instructions and be able to follow through with tasks assigned. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and relate well with others. Must have the ability to work with low-income and be understanding of their needs.  Must be able to keep accurate records.  Must keep all information confidential.

CK CATS Driver

Central Kentucky Community Action Transportation Services is seeking a qualified individual to provide safe transportation services for clients utilizing the agency's transportation service. Individual will be required, but not limited to the following duties: Provide direct, personalized transportation service to enrolled participants, and assist, as necessary, participants with bundles and/or packages (not in excess of 15 lbs) to and from the vehicle, their residence and/or service destination in agency owned motor vehicle; Must establish and maintain effective relationships within the agency and the community; Must be able to work flexible hours as scheduling may vary daily; Report any problems and locale to the lead driver and/or dispatcher; Must be able to maintain vehicle cleanliness, inspections and logs daily.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent; must possess a high degree of proficiency in reading and writing. Must understand complete instructions for reports and ability to read maps and learn service area. Must possess a Kentucky driver’s license and have access to automobile. Ability to relate to target population. Good physical health. No disabilities that might impair vision, health and endanger passengers as evidenced by DOT Medical Examiners Certificate. Criminal records check required; freedom from illegal drug use as evidenced by DOT/FTA drug testing. Excellent benefits package available after three-month probationary period.
